Organizing The Trucking Industry
The trucking industry has been in a state of turmoil for a number of years and many groups are beginning to start a very impressive focus of trying to organize the trucking industry as a whole. As one of the largest industries in North America that would be a daunting task for anyone but we have been seeing an up rise over the last few months and years from the general population against Government and truckers are starting to take action.
In the March episodes of the podcast we talk with a couple of these organizers as to their plans to accomplish organizing the Nation and why this is an important issue. Last month we saw Glen Carritt organize and lead a convoy from Alberta to Ottawa to protest several issues from pipelines to immigration. This month we talk with Canadian Federation of Transport and the Canadian Truckers Association about issues facing truck drivers in Canada.
Other episodes of the podcast include a driver discussion with Joseph Graham better known as the Hillbilly Express, seat covers for your rig, stepping into becoming an owner operator, and a recap of trucking events in March. Joe Teixiera of Rosedale Transport has been awarded Instructor of the Year and we talk to him briefly about his 35 year career.
